Valerie (Val)GILBERTof Rawtenstall, passed away
peacefully at Haslingden Hall Care Home on
November 27, aged 71.
The much loved wife of David, and loving mum to
Mark, Claire and Matthew and grandma to: Charlie,
Lincoln, Dylan, Emily, Owen and Evie.
She also leaves her loving sister Diane.
The bulk of Val’s working life was spent
with Rossendale Leisure: Ski Rossendale and the
Astoria Ballroom.
Her retirement was spent enjoying time with
her family and holidaying abroad, especially
cruising.
Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, December 10 at Burnley Crematorium at 10.45am and all are welcome to join to celebrate Val’s life.
Donations in Val’s memory are welcomed for
Cancer Research UK.
