EdithGAYof Olive House, Bacup, and formerly of St Mary's Terrace, Rawtenstall, died peacefully at Olive House on Saturday, December 28, aged 98. Edith, wife of the late James, leaves her son Jim. She was grandmother to Alexandra, the late Jeffery and the late Matthew, and great-grandmother to Finley, Zach, Rafferty and Jo Ann. She was the eldest of her sisters Mary, Kath, and Margaret, and brother Tony. She previously worked in the Co-op store and for many years worked in the care industry. The funeral was due to take place at 10.15am on Thursday, January 9 at St James the Less Church, Rawtenstall, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium led by Fr Damien.
