Bob will be missed so much, more than I would have realised.
His 'he should be on Mastermind’ level of knowledge, all rolled up into this non-judgmental man of phenomenal real world experience.
He could be counted on for being a chairman, for giving off the cuff after-dinner speeches, for being an accurate secretary aside from all the 24/7 effort he put into his Pharmacy profession, his railway interests, his rallying interests (which I can now say without any ramifications, the skills of which he may have carried into his every day driving round and through the Welsh mountains 😊), plus the amount of travelling that they did in their latter years, all of which intertwined with constant excellent photographic memories plus the lifelong aim to obtain *THE camera*, that one camera that had it all, which even now, contemplating the almost infinite number of slides/photos/digital photos is still providing us all with new experiences and smiles day after day of. Bob would have loved this.
Bob gave me unbelievable support, including my first car experience of a Hillman Imp. This alone, makes me smile at the adventures I had
Losing Bob is, as a good friend phrased it 'Losing Bob Gartside - The Pharmacist of Llanberis, is the end of an era'.
