VeraGARRITYOur hearts are broken to announce the passing of Vera Garrity. Vera passed away peacefully 14th January 2025, aged 93, surrounded by her loving family and those who cared for her so well in the final years of her life.
Vera was the matriarch of her family. Devoted mother to Pauline and her son-in-law John. The most kind and caring nan to her six granddaughters who loved and adored her and to her six grandsons-in-law who she loved to keep in check. Vera loved nothing more than spending time with her fourteen great-grandchildren who all hold a special place for their Ninny in their hearts.

We will never forget her quick wit, the songs, the stories, her love of Liverpool FC and Benidorm but most of all we will never forget those twinkly eyes and that strong, fierce character. Now reunited with her mom and her siblings who she loved so much. Sleep peacefully, you will be missed.

🕊️🤍forever in our hearts🤍🕊️

Funeral service will be held on Friday 14th February at St Teresa’s Church, Norris Green, 11:30am followed by the committal at Anfield Crematorium.

You are all welcome to join us in celebrating her life at West Derby Golf Clubhouse from 1.30pm.

Family flowers only please. If you would like to donate, please use the link below to donate to Alzheimer’s Society. A charity close to our hearts.

Thank you.

My heart is broken I will miss you everyday for the rest of my life nan. How lucky am I to have you in my life for 42 years, but right now it selfishly doesn’t seem long enough 💔
So many memories I have to cherish forever, I loved staying with you every weekend when I was younger. You would take me to town, out for our dinner and then back to yours to watch State Fair and gladiators 🥰
You continued to spoil the gang even when we had our own houses with our weekly shopping bags and holiday goody bags ❤️ that was you nan, you had the biggest heart of gold, you were selfless, loving and caring and always wanted the best for us all.
The kids have been talking about all of the special moments they shared with you, we will keep talking about you and watching the previous videos we have. I miss your voice, your beautiful face and that twinkle in your eye, life will never be the same but you’ve taught us to be strong and I hope we do you proud on your special day. I love you xx

I had a lot of fun memories with my ninny. One thing I will always remember is the teddy she got me when I was a baby, it was a huge pink owl, I called it Owlie I will always have it 🦉🩷. I also remember her kind heart and amazing personality, she brought the family together and will be missed by us all.❤️🩷🤍

🤍Our Beautiful Nan🤍
You were the ultimate 'Gangsta Granny', but we loved you for it. The strongest woman I know and the most selfless person I will ever meet.
You were caring, loyal and said exactly what you thought. You would go to the ends of the earth for the people that you loved, and I will forever be grateful that I was one of them.
I will miss your infectious laugh, your twinkling blue eyes and your hilarious one liners. I will carry you with me for the rest of my life, always wishing I was as brave and strong as you.
I feel so blessed that I was one of your 'gang'.
I love you forever and always Nan 💕
