5 years ago today you opened your eyes for the last time and held my hand to your chest and said I love you to me, your last words. a memory I will never forget and a moment I will always cherish. You slipped away a few hours later as I held your hand. It broke my heart in 2. You will never know what those 3 little word meant to me dad. A special moment between father and daughter. I smile every day knowing you are back with mum and Sarah where I know you will be truly happy and at peace at last. We have so many funny happy stories about you and Mum that make our stomachs hurt from laughing when I tell your grand daughters and great grandsons. Yours and mum's memories are forever alive in our homes. After you passed I laid in your arms and forgave you for the 18 years before and promised you I would only remember the 26 years of having my amazing mum and dad. The dad that taught me to dance by telling me to stand on your feet as you you danced me around the room, the dad that gave me monkey scrubs with his stubble before he shaved, the dad that came in from work and always grabbed mum as she was cooking and gave her a big squeeze and kisses, the dad that took me fishing and pushed me in when I caught a bigger fish, the dad that taught me to play rounders with a hockey stick and I ended up in A&E!!! The dad that was supportive and hugged me when I fell pregnant at 15 and told me everything would be ok, The grandad that was more excited over his first granddaughter arrival than anyone. The grandad that could get Nicole to sleep better than anyone by just stroking her face. So many more memories that out weigh the bad. You were lost without mum but you have found your way back to her again. Soulmates for eternity. I love and miss you both so much. Until we meet again, Jo xxx❤

Rest in peace grandad, I will forever remember our walks down south sea lane the endless nights in my childhood you spent pushing me on the swings in the paddock, taking me to see the chipmunks to the times you came into my work to see me on your dinner breaks. I hope you have your teeth in up there and enjoying every moment you have with nanna, a relationship I hope me and Luke have is one like yours and nannas. Love you grandad xx
