BrianFOLEYBrian Foley, aged 84 years, of Accrington, died peacefully at his home with his four children at his side on Tuesday, November 17. The devoted husband of the late Irene, dearly loved dad of Stephen, Linda, Angela and Juliette, a dear father-in-law, cherished grandad and great-grandad and also respected relative and friend to many. Brian was a hardworking gentleman who gave his life to others. Throughout his working life Brian has had many jobs, from working at the foundry, dustbin man, and coke delivery driver for the National Coal Board. Wherever he worked Brian was a grafter and always gave his best. Brian’s last job was at Gem’s Jewellers in Accrington which led him to his retirement. At home he was a true family man and his door was always open to welcome the steady footfall of visitors, and everyone was made to feel welcome at his home and often treated to some of his delicious baking. He enjoyed photography, and he loved the natural beauty of the world and appreciated all wildlife and birds. Brian devoted his life to helping others seek comfort from the words of the bible and he continued this right to the very end. Due to current restrictions a private family funeral service was held at Accrington Crematorium. Funeral director: Champ Funeral Services.
