Some of my longest-lasting and favorite childhood memories are from visits to 13 St. Gabriel’s Avenue to see Aunt Joan and Uncle Wally. Joan’s pasties, trips to the beach at Bovisands, playing cricket on the sand, all indelible memories. Joan was always cheerful and full of fun, if not always on time! Later in life she was wonderfully welcoming to my wife Gabriela. Now she is reunited with Wally, may they rest in peace.
