Janet AliceFINCH'Jenny' MRS Janet Alice Finch, known to all as 'Jenny', died peacefully at Barnfold Cottage Home for the Elderly in Oswaldtwistle, on Sunday, March 8 - only five days after celebrating her 102nd birthday. Jenny is survived by two daughters, Barbara and Pauline, sons-in-law David and Chris, five grandchildren Colin, Michael, Alison, Stephen and Simon, and five great-grandchildren Emily, Joe, Ellie, Ethan, and Kian, who was born just a week before her 100th birthday in 2018, which was featured in the Accrington Observer. The funeral service took place at 2pm on Monday, March 23, at Rishton Methodist Church, Albert Street, Rishton, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. The Reverend Geoffrey Hays officiated. Donations, if desired, will be shared between Trinity URC Methodist Church and Cancer Research UK c/o funeral director Kirby and Hughes, 228, Blackburn Road, Accrington.
