BarryFENWICKWe are sad to announce the passing of Barry Fenwick. As the owner of Victor Barry Tyres he was a much loved and well know character within the Plymouth motor industry. As was his wish, there was no funeral, however there will a celebration of his life, open to all who would like to pay their respects at The Brook Inn, Plympton St Maurice on Saturday 16th November from 1pm. We would ask if you have a particular anecdote or memory relating to Barry, please write it down and bring it with you, as we know he had a colourful life and would love to hear more about it.

Sweet Dreams Barry....
I wish I could thank you for all the years of love, laughter, emotional support, inappropriate jokes/pranks, giggles and words of advice and tenderness.

For genuinely loving all of us , creating precious memories of high-days, holidays, Christmas and whatever days!

I feel so terribly sad it didn't all go to plan. That you didn't get to live your happily-ever-after and with all your (rescued) pets.

I will treasure so many memories......

Remember all of us hysterically laughing, as your mum started peekabooing with a homemade Christmas wreath and your phrase ......
"Nau-gh-ty!"

I remember you teaching our girls to swim while, White Ladder, played across the water.

The brain ache from too many roller coasters and death-falls!

Loved you for telling me the secrets of getting on and off a button lift, how to fall from a chair-lift, and snow angels.
You taught me to "lean downhill, go with it, don't fight it!
(Not just on the snow, but in life too!)

Your words still echo in my head....
" Another Day in Paradise. Look around, remember, your worse day here, is better than your best day at work!"

"Keep going and keep trying!"

"Stay strong!" and

" YOU CAN DO this!"

Now there are too many tracks far too painful to listen to - they all remind me of you.

I will miss your laugh, kind smile, wicked sense of humour, enthusiasm and energy.

You will always be with us.

I especially will hold you in my heart and treasure all our memories forever.

Love and missing you terribly.

Good Night and God Bless.

Barry, what sadness we have felt to know you have gone. We have been away from Plymouth for 11 years, briefly back and heard this very sad news. You were always such good company, a great member of the community, your power boating, the skiing holiday we tagged along with to St.Anton, you will always be remembered as an action man, full of fun, always helpful with that wide cheeky grin on your face. You will be missed greatly by all.
