JoanFARRERWardley, formerly Teams and Lobley Hill. Joan passed away on 9th February 2022 aged 85 years. Loving wife of the late Alex, also a very dear mam of Susan and Paul. Special gran of Andrew, Ian, Lucy, Catherine, Paul, and an adored great gran of James. Family and friends please meet for Joan's funeral service on Friday 4th March at Gateshead Evangelical Church, Derwentwater Road at 09:30am, followed by committal at Saltwell Crematorium, 10:30am. Donations if preferred, will be taken on the day with proceeds going to the Stroke Association. A donations box will be available at both church and crematorium. No one who knows Joan can think of her without smiling. Joan was a pure joy to be with.

People were never strangers to her and she made a lot of friends during her trips to Scotland, most of whom couldn’t understand her accent!

Catherine and I would look forward to her visits here as we knew the house would be filled with laughter.

Always laughing, always funny and always kind will be the way I remember her.
