ElizabethENTWISTLEIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth (Liz) Entwistle who passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on February 18, aged 71. A much-loved mother to Steven and Catherine, grandma to Evie, Sam, Grace, Florence, and Isobelle. Liz also leaves brother Tony and sister-in-law Gill as well as many close relatives and friends. Liz was born in Rawtenstall and lived there her whole life. She attended St Peters RC Primary School followed by St Ambrose RC High School. After high school she went on to be a cadet nurse followed by student nurse at Burnley general which she absolutely loved. During her life she had a variety of jobs making many lifelong friends along the way. Liz loved nothing more than holidays abroad with her family and friends. She travelled to many countries including Australia, Japan, USA, and many European destinations. She will be remembered for her sense of humour and kind and caring nature. She adored her family and friends and we would like to thank the many people who offered care and support during her recent illness. There will be a Requiem Mass for Liz on Friday, February 28 at 10am at St James the Less RC Church, Burnley Road, Rawtenstall, followed by a burial at Rawtenstall Cemetery.
