With love, respect and sadness Mary's family announce that Mary Dunne née Power of Wavertree, Liverpool.
Passed away on 4th September 2024, aged 86.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunty and friend to many, Mary will always be remembered for her quiet strength, loyalty, charm, grace, good humour, kind heart and beautiful smile.
After suffering a long illness, throughout which Mary persevered with inspiring bravery. Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep in the loving company of her family at St Joseph's Hospice.
Mary now goes to join her Lord Jesus, her beloved husband and 'huckleberry friend' Matty Dunne, her daughters Sarah & Bernadette and her other much missed family and friends in heaven.
A Requiem Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday 17th October 2024 at the Roman Catholic Church of Christ the King & Our Lady, 78 Queens Drive, Childwall, Liverpool L156YQ. Please arrive by 11.45am.
Following the mass Mary will be interred at Allerton Cemetery. After her interment a wake and celebration of Mary's life will be held at Woolton Golf Club, Doe Park, Speke Road, Liverpool, L25 7TZ from 2.30pm. Mary's family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
