StuartDUHANof Oswaldtwistle passed away on October 14, aged 78 years.
Stuart and his business partner Geoff Lord, built several businesses over 30 plus years. Self-employed for almost all his professional life, he retired in 2001 as MD of the Trophy and Rosette Award Co LTD, which continues to trade in Oswaldtwistle as Rosettes Direct.
Stuart was a keen gardener, a supporter of many charities and a very active Rotarian. He held several roles within church and Oswaldtwistle Rotary Club over the past 30 years and was particularly committed to the upkeep of church and Oswaldtwistle Railway Station, alongside several fellow Rotarians.
Stuart leaves his wife Bernice, children Joe and Cathie, stepchildren Bradley and Heath. He was a devoted grandfather and stepgrandfather to Georgia, Anya, Maddie, Eliza, Blaise and Harrison. His first born daughter, Nikki, predeceased him in 2018.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 31 at St Mary’s R/C Church, Oswaldtwistle at 1pm, conducted by Fr O’Brien. Followed by a burial at 2pm at Dill Hall Lane, Cemetery.
