The devoted and much loved mum of Jeannie and Paul, cherished grandma of Erica and Lucy, great-grandma of Ella, Molly, Harrison, Harvey, dear sister of Olive, Bill and the late Millie, Marjorie and Marion, and also a dear relative and friend to many. Jean lived her whole life in Clayton-le-Moors where she was a well loved and respected member of the community. She was strong minded and determined. Jean spent her working life in various local works and factories including Oxo, Clayton-Laundry and GEC. She was a much loved singer known as Jeanie Lane and was often the turn at the local working men’s clubs. She had an outgoing personality and would happily chat away to anyone. Jean devoted her life to helping others and was the most doting family lady who loved nothing more than a family gathering to enjoy a celebration. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Due to current restriction a private family service was due to be held at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday, January 7. Family flowers only please, but donations can be made in memory of Jean on behalf of British Heart Foundation and Dementia UK.
