The obituary notice of Anne DR WIGLEY

In my mid-sixties now, I can remember her turning up at our house in her soft-top Morris Minor. She spoke so beautifully, I really thought she was The Queen when I was a child. She was an amazing lady and a super doctor. RIP Dr Wigley

Remembering a lovely lady and brilliant doctor. She treated all my family and looked after me through two pregnancies. So sad at her passing but happy that she had a long and fulfilled life. She was admired by many. RIP Dr Wigley.

Very sad to say goodbye to Dr Anne, whom I have known since coming to live in Derby in January, 1960. She looked after me, my husband, Eric and saw me through four pregnancies and the childhood ailments. She always took a keen interest in the boys’ education and interests and helped them through their health problems, too.
When in time the grandchildren came along she was still there to assist and help, even after her retirement, as she became a valued friend. Thank you for a lifetime of service, advice and help. My family and I appreciate and value what we have received and will be forever grateful.

So sorry to hear that Dr Anne Wigley 🙏 has died. She was such an amazing Doctor/Obstetrician who listened attentively to her patients and was always so kind and had time for everyone. May her gentle soul rest in peace 🕊

I have lots of memories of Dr wigley she was one of the doctors at leapold st surgery and looked after our whole family..doing home visits even in the snow in the 60s when I was a child and then also my own children..you just don't get that sort of doctor nowadays. I remember one time she came to my dad when he'd had a heart attack and told him off jokingly because as they were strechering him out to the ambulance he asked her if he could take his cigarettes...I'll never forget you Dr wigley you were one of the best...RIP..xx
