Ken and Brenda were special friends to my sister, Carole Smith.
Even though Carole is no longer with us, I know she would want me to express my condolences to Brenda, and thank Ken for helping and encouraging her to become part of the team at Mablethorpe deaf camp.
I also remember Ken with fondness.
RIP, a special gentleman.

EMDCC was established by Ken in 1981 and has been inspiring Deaf and hearing volunteers and changing deaf children’s lives ever since. Ken’s calm humour, commitment and consistent support over the years has been invaluable. It could not have happened without him. Thank you Ken from all at EMDCC, we will all miss you so much.

Ken was a lovely, gentle person who had such a good heart and especially supportive of Deaf people. My husband is Deaf and when my beloved late mother wanted to learn BSL it was Ken that taught her. I will always remember him for that. Sleep well Ken.

Ken was a Home Library Service volunteer for many, many years. A true Gentleman always willing to help. It was a pleasure to speak with Ken. He was always to know where I had been walking and knew all the places in the Lincolnshire wolds and beyond.
A lovely man, fondly rendered.
