William SamuelDARNELLIt is with great sadness that the family of William "Bill" Darnell of Halewood (formerly Garston) announces his passing after a brief illness, on August 24th at the age of 85. He passed away peacefully at Whiston Hospital and will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Helen, his two grandchildren Pearce and Lauren, and his great grandchildren. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Springwood Crematorium at 10.30am on Monday 11th September 2023, all are welcome to attend. The family kindly request family flowers only. Donations can be made in his memory to Young Lives vs Cancer, formerly The Malcolm Sargent Cancer Fund, a charity very close to his and the families heart. You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he has lived, You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all he has left, Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, Or you can be full of the love that you shared, You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday, You can remember him and only that he is gone, Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on, You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
