DANIEL GINTYRemembering Corporal Daniel Ginty, one of three soldiers who died in a car crash in Pembrokeshire.
Cpl Ginty, 26, http://www.lastingtr ibute.co. uk/tribute/luton/302 3273 [Corporal James Luton], 24, and http://www.lastingtr ibute.co. uk/tribute/beckett/3 023307 [Lance Corporal Christopher Beckett], 25, were travelling in a Skoda Fabia when it is understood the vehicle left the road and hit a wall on the A487.
The men were discovered in the car on 15 February, 2009, by a pub landlord in the Welsh village of Roch about four miles from Cawdor Barracks, Brawdy, where they were based with the 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare).
Their commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Tim Carmichael, said Cpl Ginty was one of the regiment's "rising stars".
"Having already served in Iraq and Afghanistan, he volunteered to return to Helmand Province and was due back there next month," he said. "So it is all the more sad that he should die in a road traffic accident so near to home.”
