The obituary notice of Derek DALE

You were honestly the best grandad I think anyone could have asked for.
You did everything for me and I am so grateful for that, I don't think there has ever been a time I've asked something of you that you refused (even when it comes to shoving girly headbands on your head).
I have so many lovely memories of you that I will forever treasure and hold close to me, and of course Evelyn's going to get to hear all the lovely parts about you; how funny you were, how smart you were with fixing everything for us, the baking we used to do (when we beat nanny making yule logs for school!!) and honestly she's going to know everything you ever did with me because I absolutely adored every moment with you.
I don't think in the entire history of any grandad to ever exist there could've been a better one that could have been mine.
I love you so so much and I wish I had more time with you. You were the best grandad ever.

May you rest in peace Derek. Thankyou for raising such a beautiful family, one being my best friend. I have fond memories of you growing up. You were a lovely man and will be missed immensely. X

I found Derek to be a lovely, friendly and an absolute pleasure to be with.
