MaureenCURD(Dunston, formerly of Ponteland and Wideopen) Peacefully on 11th August 2024 aged 83 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late David, mum to Ian and Richard, grandma to Oliver, sister to Pat and mother-in-law to Nicky and Rachel. Would family and friends please meet for service and cremation on Wednesday 4th September at West Road Cremation at 12:30pm. All are welcome to join the family afterwards at The Badger, Ponteland. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Maureen for Alzheimer's Society may be left as you leave the crematorium or sent c/o

Thank you for a life well-lived, for happy memories of times spent together - always fun, always generous hospitality. And thank you for being a life-long member of the Ponteland Ladies Choir; for taking on jobs no-one wanted to do; seeing the humour in the challenges of office and your singing of wobbly notes! Rest in peace and rise in glory dear friend. Reunited with the lovely David. God bless.

Miss you Maureen and the great times we all had together. Sunday dinners, meals out in Newcastle, trips up to Beadnell on cold New Year’s Day’s but I know you’ll be safe in David’s arms sipping a large Pinot Grigio. Love Rachel xxx
