You were the best nana, but you were so much more than that. My heart shattered when I heard yours had stopped, but I am so glad you're out of pain now. The suffering you had to endure this past year was so hard to see, but knowing it's gone gives me that little bit of comfort. Thank you for all the years of memories, looking after me when I was hard to handle, taking me places I didn't deserve at the time, finding a way to become a constant part of my life again once I'd hit my adulthood and built a life of my own and the most important part, just never ever giving up on me and not just me, all of us. Those are the memories I'll hold very close to my heart. You were the foundation to our family, now we've got to navigate out way without you, but stand strong as a family like you'd have wanted. Your smile lit up every room, you made every Christmas special with you over the top traditional decorations, you made your mark on everyone around you. You fought to the very end nana, now I'll fight to keep your memory alive. I'll miss you forever but I'll love you even more xxx
