HelenCROASDALEnee Aspden, passed away at The Royal Blackburn Hospital on Tuesday, November 10, aged 88. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Croasdale, the much loved mother of Denise, Jeannie, Sheila and Sue, grandma to Paul, Oliver and Mattie, great-grandma to Jacob, and mother-in-law to David. Helen was born in Clayton-le-Moors, but lived most of her life in Great Harwood and Rishton. She worked for many years at Brooke Bond Oxo and XL Crisps in Great Harwood. She loved to play cards with friends, to cook, to sew and travel. Her family and friends meant everything to her - she will be greatly missed. Helen attended St Charles RC Church, Rishton and St Wulstan’s, Great Harwood. A Requiem Mass will take place at St Wulstan’s RC Church, Great Harwood on Tuesday, November 24 at 1.40pm, followed by committal at Pleasington Crematorium at 3pm. Due to the current restrictions these will be private services limited to family and close friends. A live webcast of the Pleasington service will be available for those unable to attend. The passcode will be available via the funeral notice at www.dignityfunerals.co.uk . Family flowers only please. Helen loved to support the East Lancs Hospice, so donations in her memory may be made to East Lancashire Hospice online, c/o Helen’s family or via the donations link on the online funeral notice. Funeral director: Birtwistle & Rishton, Great Harwood.
