James RoyCOUSINSIt is with great sadness we announce that Roy aged 79 years, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday 3rd October 2024 whilst in the care of Diana Princess Of Wales Hospital.

A much loved husband to Heather for 57 years, a cherished dad to Gillian and Mark, a devoted grandpa to Eleanor, Euan, Anna and Clara, a dear father in law to Stewart and Judith, Roy was also a good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all. Roy will be fondly remembered by all his loyal customers over the 64 years he worked at Pennells Garden Centre.

A celebration of Roy's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Monday 28th October at 2.15pm.

By request family flowers only please, if desired donations in memory of Roy can be made to Macmillan Nurses, c/o St Andrew's Hospice, Peaks Lane, Grimsby, DN32 9RP.

Not only an expert gardener but also A Brilliant decorator, a perfectionist and good all rounder. Always eager to assist. Massively helped and supported me, as did Heather at a difficult time a few years ago, for which I will be forever grateful.

I remember Roy from visiting Pennels he was always so patient and kind and I often had a laugh and a joke with him, he helped me buy a little garden table once of which I still have, such a lovely man, my condolences to his family r.i.p Roy x
