A year has gone dad and we miss you so very much. We hope you are looking down at your new shed you never got to see, we think you would have loved it. Vincent still thinks you are at the seaside, we hope you are too. We keep seeing pallets which makes us think of you, got one in the garage and use it to keep my gardening tools in, I think you would like it. Love you dad xxx

Goodbye grandad, I'll miss baking sweet treats for you and sewing buttons into your shirt. I'll miss all the mornings you looked after me before school and when you would swing me in the air. But most of all I'll miss you.

Dad there are no words for the hole you have left in the family. We still can't believe you have gone. As a family we sat by your side for 9 weeks whilst you tried your best to stay with us. But your heavenly family were waiting to take your hand to your next journey. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. My darling, 60 years together gave us a wonderful family. I miss you every day, life will not be the same without you. You were the life and soul of the party which everyone loved. The outpouring of love that has been shown to the family since you made your next journey is testament to the man you were. You will always be in my heart, til we meet again.
