JohnCONROYIt is with great sadness that the family of John, formerly of Ashington and Felton, announces his passing peacefully on September 18th, aged 78.
His kindness, big heart and witty sense of humour will be sorely missed. He was the long-time partner of Lynn Armstrong and father to Oliver and Zoe.

Folks may remember him from Lynmouth Colliery, tinkering with his car, fixing bikes, going fishing, making hookie wool rugs, playing a harmonica, guitar or penny whistle, and singing in his beautiful baritone voice.
To honour his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
Special thanks to all the staff at Meadow Park Care Home and Palliative Care at Wansbeck Hospital, Sybil and Philip and family who have been supportive.
Please keep the stories alive and toast to his memory on October 14th.

He was the best father. So much patience and love.
He was there to help me with so many things. He taught me to swim, dive, ice skate, fish, knit, sew. He helped with homework when I left it too late, he sang with me on car rides. We particularly enjoyed singing Beatles songs. Dad was so willing to help anyone and everyone, he often put others above himself and would give so much of his time.
As an avid reader, his nose was often in a book, when it wasn't under a car bonnet. He passed his sense of humour and thirst for knowledge to me.
I love you forever Dad!
Come back and haunt me anytime, like you said you would!
