The obituary notice of David COLLETT (Dave, 55 years old)

Hi David, 5 years ago today you left us. It wasn't your time to leave by a long shot. You were meant to stay and grow old with me, do the simple things together, laugh together, travel together, hold hands, be together as a family, all those things that get taken for granted. You are still with us but we still can't believe you aren't here. Our beautiful boys look and sound like you more and more every day. They are fine men and I'm so proud of them as I know you are.
I've now retired. I can spend more time at the allotment and get it up to a condition you would approve of. A couple more holidays but it's not the same on my own. Far from it but I'm being brave. I just wish you were with me in person.

2024 and another year has passed by. And I'm still wanting you to walk through the door and shout 'Hello'
A day doesn't pass without me thinking of you and having a little cry. I know you will be so proud of the boys and what they have had to deal with, what they have achieved and how fine young men they have become. That is because you gave them so much love and attention and I see you in them every day. We'll move forward with our lives but wanting you here with us beside us every day. Love you forever xxx

Hi David, Another year has gone past and I still can't believe what has happened and how it happened. You were so strong and for Covid to get you still seems so hard to understand.
I've done a lot over the last year and you are still with me the whole way. I've been on holiday a couple of times but I missed the arguing over the map and wondering what you would pull out of your rucksack. The biggest thing to have happened is that your mum is now with you and you are not alone and that is a comfort.
The next big thing was that I've done the kitchen! It was so hard making all the decisions and it dragged on for a few months. But I've done it and I feel so proud of myself. And I know you were there with me all the way. Matthew has passed his driving test and he would love to get his hands on your car, but that's not going to happen! Christopher and Emma are doing well and are always on the go and are very happy together. The boys are so mature and are always there for me as I am for them. I miss you soo much but I'll plod on and try and make the most of my life but in a very different way then what any of us could ever have imagined. Love you to the moon and back and keep watching over us all and keep us safe. xxx

Hello my love
Another year has gone by and still we can't believe its happened. We are trying to get on with our lives but its not easy. You are always in my waking thoughts and you are often in my dreams. I know you are watching over us and I feel you all around. I've tackled so many problems over the last couple of years. From maintenance issues to sorting out your office! I've had a couple of little holidays on my own. It was lonely but I hope you would be so proud that I'm doing these things. You are always sat on my shoulder saying 'Come on Ann get on with it and stop messing around' I always wonder what we would be doing together. So many people say how strong I've been and I don't want people to feel sorry for me because I had a wonderful marriage and I've got the 2 most amazing boys and I'm thankful for that every day, but my heart is broken. You are my everything and always will be. All my love xx
