Wife of the late Johnny, sister of the late Peggy and Mavis, dearly loved aunt, great aunt and great great aunt. Funeral service to be held at Cambridge Crematorium, East Chapel on Friday 6th December at 11.30am. Family flowers only please, but if desired a donation can be made to Cam Sight, 167 Green End Road, Cambridge CB4 1RW

Aunty Betty was my last remaining relative of a generation.
Her sister-in-law, Peggy Griffiths (nee Close) was my mother. I have lived in Canada since 1972 but when I was in the UK I visited her in Bognor Regis and in Cambridge or telephoned.
She was a kind and wonderful lady and it was so sad that she lost husband, my Uncle Hugh, so tragically many years ago. I am so sorry that I did not know she had died in October and have only just received the sad news.
