Betty was a truly lovely lady. I remember her smile and a wicked sense of humour. She has a big legacy of love which she has left behind with her family. She will be sorely missed. Rest easy now Betty.

My Mam,
where do I even begin to capture the essence of you? It feels impossible to put into words the love, the warmth, the sheer force of nature that you were. You were more than just a mother; you were my rock, my confidante, my guiding star, and my best friend.
Growing up, your love was the constant thread that wove through the tapestry of our lives. From scraped knees and school plays to heartbreaks and triumphs, you were always there, your comforting voice chased away any fear or doubt. Your kitchen was the heart of our home, filled with the aroma of your legendary food and the sound of your laughter, which could fill any room and make even the gloomiest day feel bright.
You had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved. Your kindness extended far beyond our family, touching the lives of countless others . Whether it was a listening ear, a warm meal, or a helping hand, you were always the first to offer it, never expecting anything in return. Your generosity was boundless, and your spirit, infectious.
I'll never forget your strength, Mam. You faced every challenge life threw your way with unwavering courage and resilience. You taught me the importance of perseverance, of never giving up, even when things seemed impossible. You were a true inspiration, a shining example of grace under pressure.
Now that you're gone, the world feels a little dimmer, a little quieter. There's an ache in my heart that I know will never fully disappear. But amidst the sadness, I find comfort in the memories we shared, the lessons you taught me, and the love that will forever bind us together.
Thank you, Mam, for everything. Thank you for your unconditional love, your unwavering support, and your endless sacrifices. You were the best Mam a person could ask for, and I am so incredibly lucky to have had you in my life.
Though you may be gone from this earth, your spirit will live on in all who knew and loved you. Ian x
