I remember Harry coming to Kitwood Boys School in the mid 1960s. I was a pupil there from 1963to 1968. When Harry joined the teaching staff it was significant that he was quite young for that profession . Almost immediately he was my Geography Teacher and remained so until I left in 1968. A great conversationalist and knowledgeable person. Harry I think originally came from Lancashire ? because he use to talk about Everton Football Club and i think he may have played for the Everton Youth Team when he himself was a schoolboy. He would take charge of football games at Kitwood when were having PE Lessons. In the 56years since I left Kitwood Boys I only came across Harry in Boston 3or 4 times when he had retired from Teaching. The last time was in the shop in Kingsway (that was a long time ago) You never forget your Schoolteachers as you go through life and I was pleased he was one of mine. A great gentleman and adopted Bostonian who was happy in his surroundings in this part of the country. Sorry I have missed this announcement of your death Harry and date of Funeral Service, R.I.P------- Alan Trigg

Harry and Peggy were great family friends and neighbours when I was a young boy.
Like so many, he influenced my life too.
Harry was in the Army Education Corps before his long term teaching career.
A keen sportsman and gentlemen. He will be sadly missed.
