JohnCAHILLPassed away peacefully at Barley View Care Home, Whitworth on January 4, aged 76. Formerly of Bacup and Crawshawbooth where he lived until his retirement. John and his late wife Anita moved to Provence, France. Latterly, his illness brought him back to Rossendale. He was an accomplished artist,
mainly portraits and enjoyed his music, walking in the mountains and skiing in winter.
He was brother to the late Mary and he is survived by his brothers Gerard and Edward and many nephews and nieces and will be sadly missed.
A requiem mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21, at 10am at St James the Less RC Church Rawtenstall followed by cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 11.30am.
Family flowers only but donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society via the funeral director.
