Thanksgiving service at St Mary's Church, Whitchurch, Cardiff on Tuesday Feb 9 at 1.15pm, afterwards at Cardiff & County Club, Westgate St. A coach will be provided between Church and Club. I’m really sad to hear that you have passed away .I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for this man who saved my life when I was 4 yrs old I’m now 50 and living a life with no problems I was the first little girl to go on a heart and lung machine bk in the day once again thank you

I am so sorry to find out this news. Iain saved my life as a 8 year heart patent in 1973. You have given me at least 50 years of life, thank you.

Ian and I worked together as students, simply because we came together alphabetically. I have very pleasant memories of him as a companion in the dissecting room, later in the wards as fellow medical students and as Housemen. He was a very dedicated and accomplished doctor.
