Surviving Children Names: Rodney, Rachel, Jonathan, David Occupation: Raised on a farm, and farmed for over 50 years in Normanby le Wold, mostly at Acre House farm. Managed a mixed farm of organic beef, sheep, wheat, barley and supportive of wildlife. Public Work: Represented the Wold View ward as Councillor for 21 years from 1973 to 1994. Chairman of West Lindsey District Council from 1982 to 1983. Lead the redevelopment of the Claxby Viking Centre which re opened in 1982 and was funded by the West Lindsey Silver Jubilee Association. Other Personal Notes: Married for 60 years to wife Corinne who passed away in 2015. They met in Claxby just after the second world war and their relationship developed while both were members of the local Young Farmers' Club. They got engaged near Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh in 1953 while on a Young Farmers' trip. They got married in 1955 at Trinity Methodist Church in Cleethorpes. After living for 42 years at Acre House farm in Normanby le Wold at the highest point in Lincolnshire, the couple moved to Mill Lane, Caistor. Funeral at: St Peter's Church, Normanby le Wold.
