passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday 30th September 2024 aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Squadron Leader Robert Bowring AFC RAF, dearly loved mother of Felicity and Elizabeth and of her cat Kitty who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Mendip Crematorium on Thursday 24th October 2024 at 10.30 am.

Family flowers only, donations if desired will be shared between Cancer Research UK and RUH Charitable Fund (Cancer Services) can be left in the collection box after the service or made directly online at www.mfranksandsons.co.uk (announcements). Cheques payable to the charities can also be forwarded to:

Having known the Bowring family for over 35 years, Irene will be missed by anyone who knew her. As for me she always treated me as family and so I was privileged to be able to call her Mum. She was very special to me, more than I can express.
