Derek JamesBOOBIERIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Derek on Sunday December 22nd 2019, aged 89 years after a long struggle, with much courage and dignity, at The Lodge Nursing Home in Exeter. Derek was the devoted and adored husband of Ruth, much loved father of Jeanette and Nigel, loving grandfather of Chloe, Joe, Kate, Laurie, Thomas and Eddie, and father in law to David and Michelle. Derek will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Derek's life will take place at The Mint Methodist Church, Fore Street, Exeter, EX4 3AT on Monday January 20th 2020 at 11.00am, followed by a service of committal (open to all) at the Exeter & Devon Crematorium (St Peter's Chapel), Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 6EU. Family flowers only please but donations in Derek's memory for FORCE (local cancer charity) would be very welcome.
