William Albert RogerBLACKFORD('Roger') Bsc., Bsc., Msc., CMath. After pertinaciously fighting deteriorating health, Roger is now at peace. Kay and Frank are heavyhearted to announce that Roger, of Bridgnorth, Shropshire, a well respected lecturer and teacher, passed away on January 27th 2021, aged 83 years. The cherished Husband of Kay, the loving Father of Frank and his partner Emma, Brother of Diana and Brother in Law to John and Roy; Roger will be exceedingly missed by all his Family, friends and members of the wider Church community. A strictly private funeral, for invitees only, will be conducted at The Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Bridgnorth, and will be followed by a private interment at Tasley 'new' Churchyard. A public service of celebration of Roger's life will be held at a later date. If you wish to pay your respects to Roger, the cortege will leave from East Castle Street, Bridgnorth, at 1.40pm. on Saturday February 27th. The Family request that social distancing is observed throughout, in accordance with Government guidelines. Donations in lieu of floral tributes are being received for 'The Music Fund of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Bridgnorth'.
