Such a dedicated Boys' Brigade Company and Battalion officer. He is and will be very sadly missed. He, along with his family have been dedicated to the Brigade.
Now at rest with our loving Lord.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss.
Please know that our hearts ache.
Iain was a beacon of light overseeing all he organised with authority and charm.
He will be very sorely missed by many whose lives he has touched.
May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.
The candle may go out, but the memory of its light remains.
Thinking of you all, wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.
Maria, Mark and Morgan xxx

Iain was an inspiration to my late wife Ann, my son Michael and I. His gift of leadership, encouragement and support helped us all in a work with the Boy’s Brigade.
Iain led Boy’s Brigade tributes to Ann at her funeral and memorial. Something Ann’s family will be forever grateful. Hopefully we can at least in some way return the respect and support.
Iain was a truly gifted leader of men and used that skill to help many boys into manhood. I am particularly grateful to him in doing that for my son Michael.
It is without doubt we will miss him. We will be honoured and proud to share with Iain’s family and many friends the loss and grief they will feel at this sad time.
