Passed away suddenly on 28th October 2024 aged 85 years. Beloved Husband to Ann for over sixty years, Father to Jason and Andrew, cherished Grandad, a much loved Father in law and a kind, supportive big Brother. He will be greatly missed by his wide circle of friends.

Roger played football for Kenilworth Rangers, Bedworth United, Atherstone United, Tamworth FC and various other clubs during an illustrious semi-professional career. He also played cricket, squash and rugby and served on the committees of both Rugby Lions and Barkers Butts RFC. He joined the Territorial Army in 1973 and by the time he left in 1994, he was Company Sergeant Major. He began his working life at Alvis and the Standard but he went on to run his own batch bar with his brother Richard. Later Roger also worked for Courages brewery but the bulk of his career was spent as an acupuncturist, founding the Suffolk Clinic in Earlsdon. He devoted much of his attention to sports injuries and he became a skilled masseur as well as an advocate for complementary therapies. Over five decades at the Suffolk Clinic his patients included professional footballers, Olympic athletes and international rugby players.

I still can’t believe you’ve gone Roger 🥲 you’ve been in my life for over 30 years as Acupuncturist, first to my late husband Jim and then myself for the last 20 years. You became a very dear friend and were the kindest, most thoughtful and caring person. We had a real laugh in our treatment sessions, never forgetting Jim’s choice of words when you put pins in 🤣 your stories were legendary, being the proud husband, dad, grandad, serviceman and true friend. I will miss you - Rest In Eternal Peace Roger xx 💔💔💔💔
