BrianBARONof Hambleton, formerly of Springhill Villas, Stacksteads, died on Saturday, December 19 after a short illness, in Blackpool Victoria Hospital, aged 67. A service will be held at 12noon on Thursday, January 7, at Preesall Cemetery. Born in Bacup, he attended St Mary’s RC and St Ambrose RC Schools. He was an engineer and worked for Perplas at their Bacup and Bradford works for many years. Brian was a lifelong fan and season ticket holder at Burnley Football Club, and followed the Clarets home and away for over 50 years. He was also a swimming coach. Brian married Kath on June 8, 1973 and is now reunited with her forever. He leaves his children Mark and Nicola, grandsons Jake and Ashton, son-in-law Craig and Mark’s partner Julia. He was a loving father and grampie and will be sadly missed everyday by his extended family and friends. Funeral director: Anthony Johnson Funeral Services Ltd, Bacup.
