EricBALLOf your charity please pray for the repose of the soul of Ernest "Eric" Ball of Knypersley, who died peacefully whilst in the loving care of his friends at RSUH on 28th January 2024, aged 90 years. Former teacher at Hanley High School. Dear friend to Barry. Eric will be truly missed and was fortified with the rites of the Holy Catholic Church R.I.P. on whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Reception into Church and Requiem Mass at English Martyr's RC, Biddulph on Monday 26th February 2024 at 11.30am, followed by cremation at Carmountside Crematorium.

Would all relatives and friends please meet at the Church. No flowers by request, donations preferred to Alzheimers UK.

I'm very sad to read of the passing of "Ernie" as he was referred to affectionately by the pupils, and my deepest condolences go to his friends and family. I echo everything Jim Crichton has said. During my time at school, "Ernie" was truly one of the"good" guys. May he Rest In Peace.

Eric was a wonderful man and my form master in the mid 60s.He was loved and respected by all his pupils at Hanley High.
