Kenneth SidneyALMONDAffectionately known as Ken. Sadly passed away peacefully at North Devon District Hospital on 18th April 2023, aged 79 years and leaves us all with precious memories that we will carry on in our hearts forever. He is survived by his son and partner Stephen and Anna, along with his step children and partners, Nick and Jo, Alex and Lis, Vicki and Kenny, along with his combined grandchildren and brother David. When heaven opened its doors he would have been welcomed by all that have passed before him including his wife Brenda and his brother Arthur. Funeral service to take place at Cheltenham Crematorium, Willow Chapel at 12.30 on Wednesday 17th May. Family flowers only but donations gratefully received for the National Trust, Plant a tree in his memory. All enquiries contact Mason & Stokes Funeral Directors, 54 Hewlett Road, Cheltenham. Ken had a quiet, gentle nature coupled with patience and that background will and determination to call upon if needed. We were best mates in our early and formative years but drifted apart when he began to focus upon his fascination with horticulture. The dismantling of our prefab estate also set us apart, although I still kept in touch with his lovely parents Mick and Mill Almond for a few more years. He still pops into my thoughts now and then after all these years which is what prompted me to google his name.
