Gill was my beloved cousin, childhood playmate and friend throughout our lives. She was always kind, caring and above all sensible and supportive. I miss her already and will continue to do so. I am so glad that she lived such a full life as a wife, mother and friend. I believe whoever has been in her life has gained strength of character - she was such a good model to follow. John Wright and family - my condolences and thanks for allowing others to 'share' her and to my cousin John Bishop (Gill's brother) and wife Sandra - thank you for all the support and love you showed to Gill.

Gill was a wonderful hostess as we found when she made our daughter so welcome on her OE. Many years later she and John met us at Heathrow and gave us a great start to our UK trip. Gill took so much trouble to make us comfortable and ensure that we were able to make the most of our time. And then it was so lovely to be able to have them in our home and to show them this beautiful country.
It is with sadness that we acknowledge this temporary farewell, but with the absolute assurance that we will meet with Gill again.
