DorothyVESTYPassed away peacefully at Kingsfield Court Care Home on Tuesday 19th November 2024 aged 90.

A wonderful loving Wife to Den, a fun-loving Mam to Denise, Martin and David and treasured Mother In Law to Andrew, Paula and Sharon.

A proud Grandma to Mitchell, Katie, Edward, Amie, Nathan, Bethany and Bradley and a cherished Great Grandma to Hugo and Jin, Daisy, Katie, Josh and Lara.

Mam lived for her family and was the glue that held us together. Now reunited with her beloved Den after 7 weeks apart. To us all, she was Simply The Best.

A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at All Saints Church, Newtown Linford on Monday 16th December at 12:00pm followed by burial at Groby Cemetery.

No need to wear mourning clothes, please feel free to come as you are.

Grandma, my heart aches knowing you’re no longer here. I will miss you more than words can say. But I find comfort knowing you are finally back where you belong, with Grandpa. Together again, just as it should be. I’ll carry you with me always, and I’ll miss you more than you could ever know. Rest easy Grandma xxxx

I’ll always fondly remember the laughs that we had, Dot - particularly at Christmas.
I’m glad that we were all able to celebrate your 90th together recently.
You will be missed.

Mam, words cannot begin to express how empty I feel. I am struggling to say goodbye to you so soon after dad. But I know my tears of sadness will be replaced in time with tears of joy. You were a fantastic mam but even more importantly you were my friend. I will never forget our weekends in London, we had so much fun spending dads money!
