Words cannot express my profound sense of loss. I have known Maria since we had our children. She was so patient with my little ones, mothering them like her own. Nothing phased her, she was so calm, caring and understanding. A true friend with a genuine heart and a warm smile. Her children were her life and I hope that they can find an inner strength to cope without their adoring mum by their side. We will miss you x

I am so sorry to hear this news. I was lucky enough to work with Maria’s amazing children in school and have very fond memories of the family. Maria was a devoted mum and a supportive friend who always took the time to make sure everyone was okay. I still have the end of year cards she used to send and they always contained such wonderful words. I will never forget when we went to camp with school as helpers and she really looked after me. Such a wonderful lady taken far too soon. My thoughts and love go out to her family at this very difficult time xx
