EllenTAGGART(Chester-le-Street) long-standing resident, slipped away peacefully on 28 February in her 96th year following a long, slow decline patiently borne. Loving wife of the late Lawrence, dearest mother of Marion, Vivien and Richard, mother-in -law of Jerry, Dave and Dawn, cherished grandma of Laura, Helen, Katie and Alice and great grandma of Ethan, Isla, Fraser, Ella and Ettie. The matriarch of our family, a neighbour, colleague and friend to many, Ella will be greatly missed. Funeral service to take place at St. Mary & St. Cuthbert's Parish Church on Monday 31st March at 11.00am prior to Durham Crematorium at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers will be shared between The Stroke Association and The Children's Society.
