Ivy MaySEATONIt is with immense sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Ivy at home on December 20th exactly three weeks shy of her 91st birthday. Ivy bravely endured a long series of illnesses with dignity, stoicism and humour. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Stewart and the late Alan Seaton, each for 32 wonderful years. A devoted Mum to Ian and Janet, cherished mother-in-law to Tracey and David and proud Nana to Abbie and Ben. Ivy was also the dearly loved sister of Emily, Mary, Bernard, Elsie and the late Jim and Isabella. She will be fondly remembered as a much-loved sister-in-law, great auntie, auntie, friend and neighbour. A private cremation service will take place followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date. For details of the Celebration of Life please contact the family. Donations in Ivy's memory can be made to Macmillan Cancer Support whose guidance and support in her final weeks were invaluable. The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Clee Medical Centre, the Community Nursing team and the many departments at The Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for their exceptional care over many years. Special thanks to the staff of the Amethyst Suite, Dr Pattu and the Oncology department. Ivy will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, her lovely smile and her dry sense of humour. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
