Ernest PatrickMCMORROWIt is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce after a short illness the peaceful passing of Ernie on 11th December 2024, aged 86 years.

Wonderful Husband to the Late Pamela, devoted Father to Denise, Lynn, Shaun and Carl, Father-in-law to Neil, Andy, Diane and Louise. Loving Grandad to Sarah, Tom, Ben, Sam and Becky and their partners Ashley, Melissa, Megan, Louise and Ant. Great Grandad to Archie, Oscar, Riley, Arthur, Harry, Noah, Ernie and Reggie.

A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday 14th January at 1.30pm at Markeaton Crematorium (Main Chapel).

Family flowers only please, any kind donations in Ernie's memory can be made online for Marie Curie or at the service to support both Nightingale Macmillan Unit and Marie Curie.

Dearest Ernie, A wonderful lovely man who was an uncle to everyone in our congregation. He had a big heart and great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed. I will remember him every time we read his favourite scripture Revelation 21.3,4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4  And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
