My dear great Uncle, every cherished memory I have of you is of you smiling, helping your family and adoring your wife.
To grow up knowing your uncle was a ship's Captain, and that him and your Aunt travelled the world together (in the days before easyjet) never ceased to be a great source of wonder and pride for my childhood brain.
A particularly good memory is of you showing me how to tile my bathroom, you made it seem effortless! Honestly I don't believe there was anything you couldn't do.
The pride and joy you took in your gardens, your job, your hobbies, (including DIY and golf) and most importantly the love and support you gave to your friends and family will always be remembered.
