Ann ElizabethMASSEYIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing on 14th November 2024 of Ann Elizabeth Massey of Hoole, Chester, at the age of 82. Ann was born and bred in Chester, having lived her entire life in the same house that had been home to her parents (Percy and Molly) and grandparents. Ann was blessed with a vast array of friends and colleagues, local and further afield, whose lives she touched daily and all of whom will miss her dearly. A feisty, optimistic, forward looking lady, Ann lived life to the full and had been as fit as a flea. Her death was sudden and came as a shock to those of us who saw just how active she had been right up to her final moments. Ann was an active member of the Chester Theatre Club and the local Catholic Community, frequenting St Columba's and in more recent years, St Werburgh Church. Ann donated on an ongoing basis to so many charities, it would be impossible to list them here. Continuing the charitable theme, Ann made the ultimate donation of her body to science. There is thus no funeral but there will be a memorial service as follows to celebrate the life of one who touched the hearts of so many : The Church of St Werburgh, Grosvenor Park Rd, Chester CH1 1QJ on Saturday 4th January 2025 at 11am. Please wear colour.
