Gwenfron WarnerLEECHGwen passed away on Christmas morning at Ashbourne House Nursing Home following a long illness bravely borne.

Loving and beloved Wife of Bob, Sister of Morfydd, Mother of Merion, Stepmother of Andrew and the late Heather, Mother in law to Wendy and Debbie, and Grandmother & Great Grandmother to children in England, Wales and Switzerland. Greatly loved by all her family.

Grateful thanks to all the wonderful staff at Ashbourne House for their loving care.

Funeral service to take place at Rochdale Crematorium on Wednesday 5th February at 11.50am.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cancer Research or Springhill Hospice c/o

Gwen…I remember meeting you for the first time at Xmas 1974 as you stepped from a train looking absolutely beautiful, elegant and just fabulous and receiving attention from all on that platform… I just knew I’d loved you there and then as my aunt through marriage. I never lost that love and respect for you and you never lost your beauty, kindness and elegance…RIP darling Gwen…I’ve never met another like you. You were one in a million..Sue.xx

Gwen was a lovely, gracious lady, with the most beautiful soprano voice. She always encouraged other singers, and it was a joy to sing with her. Rest in peace and rise in Glory Gwen. Pat Stephenson
