Rodney FrancisIRVINGIt is with great sadness that the family of Rodney Francis Irving (Rod) announce his death on October 20th 2024, at the age of 83.
Rod will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Marie, his daughters Liz and Katie and his four grandchildren, Hugh, Emilia, Max and Rosie.
Rod taught French and Spanish at St Edward's College, Liverpool and then was a headteacher of St Cuthbert's in St Helens. Rod was a lifelong Rugby Union player, coach, and fan.
The funeral service will be held at Our Lady of the Annunciation – Bishop Eton, Woolton Road at 12 midday on Friday 15th November, then the cremation service at Springwood Crematorium and afterwards at The Mansion House, Calderstones Park. All are welcome to attend. No flowers, instead feel free to make any charitable donations to The Alzheimer’s Society.
